Arnocin tablet is an antibiotic. It works by inhibiting bacterial growth by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins that bacteria require to carry out vital functions. Take this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. You must follow caution as excess consumption leads to serious adverse effects. Do not stop the medication unless told by your doctor. Lactating mothers: Arnocin is not recommended in breastfeeding because it is secreted in breast milk and permanent tooth discolouration, and enamel hypoplasia may occur in infants.

Pregnancy: Arnocin is contraindicated in pregnancy because it causes permanent tooth discolouration and enamel hypoplasia in the fetus.
Driving: Arnocin may decrease alertness, affects vision and may cause dizziness and sleep.
Do not drive if these symptoms occur.
Alcohol: Avoid alcohol consumption while taking arnocin tablets as it may increase the risk of side effects such as dizziness.
Liver: Arnocin tablet should be used in caution with patients suffering from liver disease.
You may require a dose adjustment and regular monitoring of liver function.
Seek doctor advice before using this medication.
Kidney: Arnocin tablet should be used in caution with patients suffering from kidney disease.
You may require a dose adjustment and regular monitoring of kidney function.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible.
If it is near the time of the next dose, then skip the missed dose.
Take the prescribed dose on your regular time daily.
Don't double the dose to catch up with the missed dose..
• It has the potential to cause dizziness.
Don't drive or do anything else that requires mental focus until you've determined how minocycline affects you.
• Diarrhoea may occur as a side effect, but it should subside once your course is finished.
If it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools, contact your doctor.
• Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding.
• If you develop a rash, itchy skin, swelling of the face and mouth, or difficulty breathing, stop taking arnocin and contact your doctor immediately.
